Amazing Week of Screenings Across the UK
Barbara at the Brighton University screening with students. Click to enlarge.
We've had a great tour this week around the UK. Over 1600 people came to the six screenings from Glasgow to Brighton. We we're looked after at each screening and met some great people along the way. On the night of the Glasgow Film Theatre screening we walked into the cinema to introduce the film and were amazed to see a full house of 400 people on a wet and cold Tuesday night.
We also want to thank everyone who came and supported the film and who were so generous buying our signed posters and book "In Biba" written by Delissa Howard and Chris Price which are both available from www.beyondbibamovie.com.

Dinard Film Festival
We've just returned from the festival and it was a wonderful experience. Dinard is a beautiful town in Northern France and puts on a British Film festival every year. We had two screenings and had a great reaction to the film. We also had the chance to meet the other filmmakers which was invaluable. I wish we could go every year...
We saw Mugabe And The White African at the festival and it's a great documentary and comes highly recommended. It gives a truthful account of the war raging between Mugabe and the White African farmers in Zimbabwe. The film is an independent production like ours and they need all the support they can get. For more info Click Here. I met the film's producer Elizabeth Morgan Hemlock who gave us lots of great advice.

Notting Hill Gate Screening
We had our second SOLD OUT screening in London today at the Notting Hill Gate Picturehouse. The film screened in front of 185 people followed by a post-screening Q&A with Barbara Hulanicki and Louis Price (pictured above - director of Beyond Biba). It was our favorite screening so far.
A big thank you to Mike Matthews who organized the event. Once the Q&A finished pandemonium broke out when we started selling our film posters signed by Barbara. We ended up selling over 60 which was amazing! We're looking forward to screening with more Picturehouse cinemas in Greenwich, Clapham and Edinburgh next month.

The Beyond Biba Mini & Premiere
BMW have very kindly lent us the car for a week of screenings and they even arranged putting the title of the film on the car. After a year and a half of filming, traveling, editing, and stressing, the World Premiere of Beyond Biba happened last night at the V&A in London. A sellout crowd of 300 packed into theatre for the film and a post-screening Q&A with Barbara Hulanicki. The audience was great, and although the evening is still sort of a blur for me, from the amount of laughs and applause we got it seemed like everyone really enjoyed the film.
I’d like to thank Jo Banham, Mark Eastman and everyone at V&A for having us there and for doing such a great job with the screening. Thanks!
If you couldn't get tickets for the screening our next screening in London is on the 20th of September at the Notting Hill Gate Picturehuse at 1pm. Barbara Hulanicki will be giving a post film Q&A. Tickets are available here

First Post...
Welcome to our "Beyond Biba" blog. Things are starting to move quickly with the film and I will try keep you up to date with screenings, starting with our world premiere in London in July. It's been a long year of filming and editing but we're getting very close to finishing the film with just the color grade and sound mix left to finish.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the film and thanks for your interest in it.
Thanks
James
